**Job Description and Responsibilities**:

- Reviewing, commenting on, drafting and finalising various commercial agreements ranging from goods/services being provided, building agreements, sponsorships/trade exchanges, training, funding/grants, loans, sales, etc.
- Supporting internal business areas by providing legal and business advice and support to ensure compliance with Organisational Directives and legislation.
- Remaining abreast of relevant legal developments to create awareness, ensuring internal compliance, providing training in relation to significant legislation, ensuring timeous reporting to the Board of Management.
- Participating in specialist committees (such as Risk Management Steering Committees).
- Represent VWSA at the National Association of Automotive Manufacturers of South Africa Legal Forum.
- Overseeing and managing litigation/alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
- Supporting the Company Secretary and Integrity, Risk & Compliance Officer.
- Identifying requirements and providing training on relevant fields of law.
- Supporting training department when developing training modules.
- Supporting the Volkswagen Group with all matters administered by the Group in South Africa.
- Acting as office of record in relation to legal matters.

**Education and Experience**:

- Postgraduate degree in law
- Admission as an Attorney/Advocate
- Minimum 10-15 years’ experience as legal advisor or equivalent in private practice, articles and additional postgraduate qualifications in relevant fields of law recommended. Articles period accepted as experience

- Managerial skills (conflict management and training).
- Discipline and ability to perform under pressure.
- Computer literacy.
- Ethical approach in every respect.
- Negotiation and persuasion skills and an ability to find practical, efficient and effective solutions
