Redheads Engineering is assisting one of our esteemed clients in recruiting an Environmental Science Manager for their Cape Town office.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to and steer a division within a well-established organisation with a significant footprint in the environmental sector.

**Salary**: Is market-related, based on skills, experience, and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

- Drive business development initiatives, oversee team management, and guide marketing strategies.
- Craft proposals, and collaborate with clients, authorities, and specialists.
- Perform environmental screenings, technical studies, and investigations.
- Participate in report creation, public engagement, and ECO auditing, and ensure stringent quality control.
- Advocate for the fusion of sustainability and engineering across various disciplines.
- Cultivate new interests in sustainable business ventures.

Qualifications:

- Essential: BSc (Hons) in Environmental Management/Sciences or related field.
- Strongly preferred: MSc in Environmental Management/Sciences or related field.
- Mandatory: EAPASA registration; Pr.Sci.Nat registration is highly desirable.

**Experience**:

- A minimum of 15 years of post-graduate consulting experience in a comparable role.
- Proven track record in independently managing Basic Assessments and EIAs in South Africa.

Job Profile / Skills:

- Profound understanding of NEMA, NEM: WA, MPRDA, and NWA processes and their corresponding legislation.
- Advantageous to have knowledge of sustainable construction, green building, environmental engineering, and waste management.
