Technical Training Officer

To prepare, conduct, and evaluate manufacturing training programs. Writes content to be used in programmes and designs exercises to enhance facilitation or on-the-job training. Facilitates workshops regarding safety, machine operations, first line maintenance and problem solving related to machinery and equipment. Guiding and advising line managers on appropriate approaches to close manufacturing and technical skills gaps and partners with line managers in the technical operational areas to identify competence gaps. Contribute to conducting root-cause analysis during technical problem-solving.
Technical Training Officer (TTO) is responsible for effective training delivery and the achievement of the L&D targets and benchmarks. A key role in the development of a positive work environment - one that is innovative and responsive to learners needs. Expected to be a lead coach and champion of the HENDOK values and work habits.
**Learning & Development System**:
- Generating documents for the updating of all Skills Matrices
- Capturing training course bookings on LMS and communicate with Line Managers
- Capturing and updating of all Skills Matrices
**Training Coordination**
- Implement & roll out annual Operational L&D Strategy
- Roll-out annual competency sets
- Conduct a learning needs analysis
- Contribute to the Annual Workplace Skills Plan & Implementation Report submissions
- Track, monitor & report on monthly Training Plan, Budget and Calendar
- Learning Programme Management: Apprenticeships, Learnerships & Skills Programmes
- Assessment & Moderation of accredited Learning Programmes
- Contribute to the evaluation of major training initiatives and conduct and provide supporting information for Return-on-Investment calculations
**Learning Material Development & Policy/Procedure Writing**:
- Writing of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
- Writing of unit standard aligned Training Modules
- Assist with the updating of a T&D Policies & Procedures in QMS
**Facilitation**:
- Facilitation of Workshops and Courses (soft skills)
- Facilitation of Onboarding Modules
- Facilitation of Manufacturing related Modules
- Facilitation of First Line Maintenance Modules
**Coaching & Assessment**:
- Be the foremost leaders in the coaching and assessment principles and processes
- Coach other facilitators around best practice for the assessment of Modules which is the facilitators main responsibility with the TTO being assessment support to any other facilitator
- Facilitate workshops for all Line Managers on the principles of coaching and assessment
- Provide one-on-one assistance to Line Managers in order to assist them with the coaching process of a Learner based on either a SOP, Module or Competency Guide
- Coach Line Managers around professionalism, ethics and values
- Coach and advise customers on the L&D systems and its offerings
- On-the-job coaching related to SOP’s and conduct HBO’s
**Salary**: R75.00 - R260.00 per hour
