Data Production Analyst

Working as part of the data production team you will be responsible for assessing data from different sources, performing gap analyses and processing of epos and ex-factory data as per company documentation and standards following all process steps and ensuring accuracy before signing off to downstream operational teams.

The majority of the work will be undertaken using Excel and in-house data management tools. The work also involves the matching of both data values and text, so you will also need to demonstrate that you are both numerate and literate with a strong understanding of South Africa retailer data sources and the local market. Some research using the internet and other online and offline data sources is also required. You will therefore need to be resourceful and be able to work your way through multiple data management tasks quickly and efficiently without detailed supervision. This role will work on strategic data standardisation, classification and integration projects and processes for reporting purposes.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Complete the OPS training programme and panel process within the first 3 months of employment if entering at this level.
- Ensuring that data is received, loaded, maintained, and validated into the IRI systems on time and accurately.
- Research retailer store brand innovations and market changes to ensure IRI’s master data maintenance of retailer store dimension is relevant.
- Establish strong internal cross-departmental relationships.
- Display a solid understanding of the business and our service offerings.
- Assists and helps the Item Coding, Data Release and CGD teams with troubleshooting where necessary.
- Attends training, business updates, knowledge shares and team events as and when required.
- Adheres to all relevant policies and procedures.
- Communicates issues and deadlines to Senior Production Analyst & Team manager as required.
- Able to work extra hours as and when required to ensure deadlines are met.
- Contact with external retailers on client sign offs, data requests and queries.
- Contact with FMCG suppliers and IRI clients on retailer raw data access as per retailer’s requirement.
- Prioritising and effective time management, through a systematic approach to task completion.
- Involvement in the setup of new data sources allocated to you.
- Provide constant communication to Senior Data Production Analyst regarding all retailer production progress and changes.
- Implementation and ongoing maintenance of retailer databases and Fusion loading processes and data validations
- Setup and maintenance of Fusion loading procedures
- On time and accurate processing of all data feeds and tracking thereof
- On time and accurate retailer raw data access to FMCG suppliers
- Accurate master data management of Retailer market dimensions
- Research & drive retailer store classification knowledge
- Proactively show a good understanding of all operational processes in the IRI portfolio

**Skills and Abilities Required**:

- Tertiary Education with 2 years of working experience.
- Complete the training programme and panel process within the first 4 months of employment if entering at this level.
