Global Procurement Associate Manager Oils

**Responsibilities**:
**Purpose**
- The role is to manage the procurement and risk management of all Edible Oils & Corn Meal for Sub Sahara Africa. _
- Edible oil is the second largest ingredient category in our Snacks businesses, extremely volatile in price and central to our Health and Wellness and Sustainability strategies. It is thus a key category for every market and requires excellent strategic planning, risk management and coordination with local business teams_.

**Accountabilities**

**_Sourcing_**
- _ Lead strategic procurement initiatives for Food Ingredients in SSA BU’s, working to develop and implement Ingredient strategies which are appropriate for the BU_
- _ Govern the development of Category related sourcing contracts and agreements; lead negotiations and conduct developments with key suppliers _
- _Define sourcing strategies based on changing market conditions and provide input during strategic sourcing activities, including internal and external analysis and negotiations_
- _ Implement sourcing recommendations, ensure compliance is monitored, and benefits tracked in line with the procurement policies & practices_

**_ Risk Management & Control _**
- _Evaluate strategic partnerships and develop ability to obtain and implement commodity forward coverage for P&L risk management and sustainable deals at local market level for all ingredients._
- _ Refine & flawlessly execute the risk management strategies _
- _Identify High risk Suppliers, develop and qualify a business continuity plan to ensure supply security._
- _ Ensure suppliers compliance to Sustainable Sourcing Program & Third Party Due Deligence requirements._
- _ Ensure Full Complinace to GP & SSA Control Policy._

**_ Productivity & OCF_**
- _ Define and achieve SSA Ingredients’ annual and long-term strategic sourcing inflation, productivity & OCF targets _
- _Lead the development and execution of productivity pipeline for SSA Ingredients_
- _ Lift and shift/adapt ideas from other countries/regions_
- _ Lead all Wave Bidding & Productivity Projects for SSA Ingredients_
- _ Manage SSA Ingredients cash flow / payable terms extension process_

**_ Sustainability - Environmental, Human & Business Continuity_**
- _ Ensure delivery of PepsiCo’s sustainability goals are delivered_
- _ Ensure SCOC Trainings & high-risk site audits are complete and BCP’s are developed for SSA Ingredient suppliers_

**_ Financial Reporting_**
- _ Lead SSA Ingredient commodity guidance prices for AOP, forecast prices for FP&A submission according to global & Sector timeline requirements _

**_People_**
- _ Work closely with Category Lead, Sector & Global COE leads _
- _Collaborate with SSA Category Lead and other COE teams and cross functional stakeholders to deliver against key business objectives_
- _ Build Procurement function credibility with the business stakeholders; represent Procurement function internally (peer level) and externally (suppliers)_

Qualifications:
**Key Skills / Requirements**
- B.Com or B.Sc. (Agric) or National Diploma in Agriculture (or similar)._
- Knowledge of agricultural inputs (fertiliser - BASOS and/or crop protection -AVCASA)._
- Knowledge of downstream agro commodity value chains._
- Knowledge of agricultural seed schemes._
- Knowledge of the local and international organized agricultural industry._
- High level of computer literacy_
- Bilingual (English and Afrikaans)_

**Previous Experience**
- Agricultural commodity industry (5+ years)_
- Agro-processing and agro supply chains (5+ years)_
- Agronomic field trial design and protocol_
- General crop management and crop husbandry_
- Management of proprietary varieties and executing royalty agreements_
- Basic accounting/financial management_
- Supplier-relation management_
- New supplier development (climate, soil, resources, equipment, infrastructure and technical capabilities)_
- In view of PepsiCo’s Sub-Sahara Africa business, experience in alternative crops (e.g. cassava, plantain, chick peas, etc.) will be an advantage_
