QA/qc Manager

**About You**

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for the supervision of the analytical and sensory laboratories as well as overseeing the facility's food safety program on an ongoing basis. Activities include, but are not limited to, prioritizing daily assignments, training QC associates, and completing quality control work as needed. The manager is responsible for the successful performance of the team with regards to business metrics as it relates to the usage decisions of the raw and finished materials. You will have a degree in Science or Engineering and 5+ years' experience in quality and manufacturing, quality auditing, quality control, quality and food safety systems, and regulatory and quality assurance. To be successful in this position, you will have excellent leadership abilities, interpersonal and communication skills, and business knowledge.

**Job Requirements**:
**As the Quality Control Manager, you will be responsible for**
- Responsible for the supervision of the analytical and sensory laboratories as well as overseeing the facility's food safety program on an ongoing basis.
- Management and review of the workflow and quality (alignment with other plants, procedures update, participation to QC meetings, links with other QC lab...)
- Management of the relationships between Sales, Production, Warehouse.
- Enhancement of the team competencies (training suggestion, management of maintenance and troubleshooting, mass specs library update, request for new softwares access...)
- Activities include, but are not limited to, prioritizing daily assignments, training QC associates, and completing quality control work as needed.
- The manager is responsible for the successful performance of the team with regards to business metrics as it relates to the usage decisions of the raw and finished materials.

**Required Skills**:

- Degree in Science or Engineering.
- Experience in the following: Quality Auditing, Quality Control, Quality and Food Safety Systems, Regulatory and Quality Assurance.
- Five (5) years’ experience or more in a variety of disciplines including quality and manufacturing.
- Industry experience that includes factory management, supply chain management, quality and food safety management.
- Experience with HACCP, sanitation, allergen control, GMP, GFSI, ISO9001 and other quality programs.
- Development of team members
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SAP.
- Verbal and written communication skills in Japanese/English.
- Understanding of basic statistical analysis and familiarity with the use of statistics.
- Working experience in analytical method development and validation.

**Required Experience**
- Experience in the following: Quality Auditing, Quality Control, Quality and Food Safety Systems, Regulatory and Quality Assurance.
- Five (5) years’ experience or more in a variety of disciplines including quality and manufacturing.
- Industry experience that includes factory management, supply chain management, quality and food safety management.
- Experience with HACCP, sanitation, allergen control, GMP, GFSI, ISO9001 and other quality programs.
- Working knowledge in SAP
- Bachelor of Science in Science in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field with 7-10 years of analytical testing experience in a food processing / production environment.
- Previous flavor house/food additive experience preferred.
