**Job Advert**:
We have an exciting opportunity for a **Distribution Centre Manager** to join our Distribution** **team. This position will be based at **Kuilsriver DC** and will report directly to the** DC General Manager.**

By taking on this opportunity, you will be responsible to manage the receiving, warehouse and production activities within the Distribution Centre, to ensure cost effective and timeous inflows, outflows, as well as inventory management, in support of the supply chain strategy.

**Qualifications**:
**Essential**:

- Matric /Grade 12
- Supply Chain/Logistics Degree
- Project Management

**Preferred**:

- Lean Methodology Certification
- Freight forwarding and customs compliance certification

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**:
**KNOWLEDGE required**:

- Logistics and DC Operations (FMCG and Retail)
- Retail Planning Processes
- MS suite with advanced excel (or equivalent)
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- OHASA Legislation

**SKILLS required**:

- Systems thinking approach
- Financial and numerical skills
- Leadership and management skills
- Conflict management and collective bargaining skills
- Ability to build collaborative stakeholder relationships

**EXPERIENCE required**:
**Essential**
- 5 - 10 years in a Senior Logistics role
- Understanding of the Employment Legislation
- 3-5 years’ experience in a system directed environment (incl. WMS)
- Experience in Facilities and Asset management
- Online commerce and dark store experience
- Developing teams and driving organisational culture

**Preferred**:

- Experience in Retail and seasonal merchandise processes
- Leading diverse teams
- Sound understanding of the end-to-end retail Supply Chain
