Compliance Clerk

**Job Advert**:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Clerk to join our Distribution Centre team for a period of 12 months. This position will be based at our DC in Kuilsriver and will report directly to the Compliance Manager.

By taking on this opportunity you will support and assist the Compliance team through managing the on-key system, generate and manage work orders to contractors. The incumbent will assist in the management of Health & Safety within the DC.

**Qualifications**:

- A Grade 12 Certificate/Matric
- Administration qualification

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**:

- Preferred Introduction to SAMTRAC module/course completed
- Have a minimum of 1year experience in Health & Safety/Facilities
- Experience in working with Health & Safety systems
- Experience in a distribution centre environment
- Understanding preventative maintenance systems
- Knowledge of and exposure to:

- 5S standards
- Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Liaising with contractors
- Risk register maintenance
- SANS legislation
- Supply Chain
- Displays attention to detail, practical thinking, and analytical skills
- Possess time and project management skills
- Has knowledge of conflict and collective bargaining
- Effective presentation and administration skills
- Possess intermediate computer skills (MS Office Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio and Project)
- Good verbal and written communication skills

Has held positions as a First aider, Fire fighter and SHE representative

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Effectively manage the on-key system by ensuring work orders are opened and closed timeously
- Deliver on and ensure implementation of the DC Risk, Security/Safety and Loss prevention strategy
- Assist with process and inventory compliance
- Assist with service providers and contract management by sourcing and conduct performance management audits
- Ensure asset maintenance system is kept up to date
- Assist with and facilitate implementation of program solutions and process enhancements from DC efficiencies
