Manager: Campus Student Operations

**Job Purpose**:
The Manager: Campus Student Operations fulfills a campus management role (across all Higher Certificate, Undergraduate and Postgraduate degree programmes) in planning and managing a wisdom**with**magic student experience. This role is student service centric and aims to ensure that student communication and support services are optimised. The Manager: Campus Student Operations ensures that The Independent Institution Education (IIE) policies are implemented and adhered to on campus

**Working Hours**:08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday (Please note that you may be required to work outside of these working hours)

Degree, preferably post graduate degree Training

**Work Experience**:

- 3 - 5 years experience in an academic administration position
- 3 - 5 years experience with student development and student support
- 2 years project management
- 2 - 3 years general management experience; including: disciplinary management & performance management

**Key Performance Area**:

- Manage escalated student queries via the Student Hub in conjunction with the responsible Student Relations Coordinator and National Student Relations Manager.
- Oversee the Red Flag student tracking process and ensure the associated student support is implemented.
- Responsible for the IIE assessment cycle, ensuring policy and procedure is adhered. This includes invigilation recruitment and training, assessment tracking, marking timelines, moderation and timeous release of results.
- Oversee student registrations and the monitoring of conditional and international students.
- Campaign and support the use of myVega, VegaAssist, VegaConnect and VegaLearn.
- Implements climate surveys and other feedback mechanisms as required.
- Manages biannual student/lecturer evaluations and recommend remedial action if necessary.
- Maintains the timetable and venue allocations per semester.
- Liaise with the Campus Head on IT and campus facilities linked to classrooms.
- Responsible for Human Resource administration linked to lecturers and student support.
- Campus Graduation Liaison with the IIE Registrar office.
- Manages the Registration cycle and Student Orientation.
- Responsible for the SLB and Student Forum. This involves student nominations, collating student feedback and managing the student groups.
- Plan and implement student workshops: Student Empower sessions, Code and Compass, Academic Integrity, Time management, Language Support, Work Readiness Programmes and other academic support workshops.
- Manage parent/student events: Parents Evening, Fresh Cream, Agency Week, Showcase, Brand Activation, Brand Challenge, Design/Game/Business Jams, Graduation support and student photos for Graduation as well as all initiatives to enhance the student experience at Vega.
- Together with the Operations and Academic Managers, ensure a holistic academic experience for all Vega students.
- Manage the student operations team: Student Relations Coordinator, Assessment Officer, and Academic Operations Administrators have a direct reporting line to the Manager: Campus Student Operations.
