Key Performance areas:

- Receiving orders from customers and area sales manager
- Prepare proforma invoice which includes all accurate costs and getting confirmation from customers
- Executes required export documentation for multiple accounts in various stages of completion in a highly time-sensitive environment
- Timely management of multiple lines of communication between production, area sales managers and customers.
- Prepare and obtain export certificates from various government and certification agencies in compliance with each shipment.
- Assure compliance with customs, export, applicable foreign trade/importation laws as well as applicable federal transport regulations.
- Ensure error-free documentation is scanned and mailed to relevant parties and originals are given to dispatch to hand to export transporter
- Perform pre-inspection of all goods prior to dispatch
- Identify risks and opportunities, when developing logistics plans and freight estimates for loads and complex international shipments to ensure cost-effective, safe, and efficient transportation of the company’s products.
- Handle all freight claims
- Review and prepare all relevant documents for customer’s order in conjunction with the customer care department
- Complete the necessary daily/ weekly/monthly updates, schedules, and reports to control and monitor the required export function
- Obtain transport quotes for export orders and make transport bookings
- Plan all vessel/ carrier bookings with the relevant transporters to ensure accurate schedules and delivery lead time
- Ensure correct transport, freight, and clearing charges are invoiced by service providers and arrange sign-off in order to affect timely payment of these accounts
- Take ownership to obtain all relevant information needed to complete the clearing instructions for each consignment, ensuring the details declared are complete and accurate.
- Liaise with other relevant departments constructively and collaboratively to ensure rapid and harmonious processes
- Ensure rapid and efficient service to all customers
