Sandton - Gauteng - South Africa

You will demonstrate strong supply market knowledge, particularly in the areas of road, rail, and the automotive industry. A good knowledge of contracting and excellent interpersonal and communication skills is also essential. Analytical and systematic thinking in IT, along with project management capabilities, will be crucial for success in this role. You should possess high numeracy skills, including strong supplier negotiation and management experience.

Key Performance Areas:

- Optimum Sourcing of IT: Develop and implement an IT sourcing strategy to ensure operational stability. Conduct supply market research and analysis, manage supplier performance and risk, and source BO EME/QSE suppliers to enhance the supply base and support transformation.
- Cost Management: Achieve the best possible cost through benchmarking and negotiation. Ensure timely completion of Annual Price Reviews aligned with the budget and support the budget creation process. Conduct contract negotiations based on open calculation, lead time, landed cost, and total cost.
- Vendor Contract Management: Proactively manage contract expiry, initiate and oversee the tender process or contract extension, develop tender documents with internal stakeholder support, and facilitate contract negotiations between suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Governance and Administration: Ensure compliance with SOX, internal policies, and procedures. Verify the validity of BBBEE certificates and maintain relevant transport industry certifications. Meet ISO 14001:2015 and C02 targets.
- Supplier Management: Monitor supplier performance and KPIs, ensure operational KPIs are met by logistics service providers, promote supplier development to improve ESD Score, and proactively manage and mitigate supply-related risks.
