Top Business School is looking for an experienced bid specialist who can understand their unique selling point and services. The primary function of the position is to identify prospective business opportunities and prepare professionally compiled tenders that suitably curtail commercial risk and accurately prices the scope of works.

**Core Responsibilities**:

- Managing the Tender/Bid department and its functions for all the relevant divisions of the company e.g., Corporate Education; Foundation, MyWealth, Resourcing/Recruitment
- Qualifying all aspects of the bid and identifying key elements to winning the bid through needs analysis
- Keeping up to date with key legislation governing bidding or tendering
- Project managing and administering the division's tender /bidding process
- Analysing risks, uncertainty in the tendering or bidding process and requesting clarity from the clients
- Managing all the financial costs related to the Tender/bidding department and reducing expenses against budgets where possible
- Handling queries from various internal and external stakeholders and ensuring compliance with our client's procurement requirements
- Working with Senior and Executive Management to research and develop bidding or proposal content
- Sourcing for new business and drafting proposal presentations (business development)
- Develop, review and co-ordinate government & corporate bid and tender documentation, plans and presentations
- Coordinating and supporting tendering of service process from inception to completion
- Execute procurement requests within a specified time frame upon completion of all documents required
- Identifying and managing company risks / assisting with risk and compliance management
- Conducting follow-ups with clients on submitted Tenders or bids for feedback
- Assisting consultants with contract reviews and negotiations
- Managing the record-keeping system of all signed contracts
- Consolidate and submit weekly, monthly, yearly reports to various stakeholders internally & externally, depending on the requirements.
- Prepare and Analyse RFPs, RFIs, RFQs and Tender
- Review final documentation by proof reading for integrity and accuracy (e.g. RFP's)
- Monitors the tender submission process for formatting, completeness, consistency, and compliance
- Liaises with Buyers, Procurement to provide contractual and compliance advice
- Stays abreast of and communicates any changes in contractual requirements

**Qualification & Experience**
- 5 - 8 years in a similar role as a Tender Specialist/bid specialist
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience
- Proven experience in both public sector & private sector in tender/bid proposal
- Proven track record of delivering a compelling of commercial offer and being awarded tenders and proposals

**Salary**: R500,000.00 - R700,000.00 per year
