**Requirements**:

- A relevant degree in Geomatics
- 8 Years or more relevant experience in Property Management and

Geomatics at middle management
- Registration with the SA Geomatics Council as Land Surveyor or GIS

practitioner advantageous
- Sound Knowledge of local government municipal functions and

related immovable property legislation and policies would be highly
advantageous
- Experience in staff management and stakeholder engagements.
- Sound knowledge of local government municipal
- Functions and the legislative framework would be highly

advantageous
- A valid Code B/EB drivers’ licence

Key Performance Areas
- Develop, maintain co-ordinate and manage the GIS function by

coordinating all GIS Training and awareness for the Property
Department; monitoring best practice, technology development
and innovation; presentations to Management Team on
developments in
- Providing a Surveying service developing, maintaining and

coordinating the comprehensive cadastral, topographical and
engineering surveying function for the department.
- Manage financial control of the section over the allocated capital

budget and comply with the MFMA.
- Manage staff, the allocation of resources and the development of

staff within the section.
- Implement Section and Department communication strategy.
- Provide technical GIS and Surveying related advice to stakeholders

including private partners, council departments, sub-councils and
councillors; representing the department at internal and external
meetings.
