Data Governance and Applications Compliance Analyst

We operate the various technology platforms and shared services, ensure Cyber and Information Security resilience, and act as technology governance and risk orchestrator for technology across Sanlam.

**What will you do?**
- The Governance and Applications Security Compliance Analyst will assist with designing of logical access principles, standards and procedures that will implement the regulatory, legal and business rules that govern the use and operation of the Data Platform (e.g. DSUA). This role will contribute to the work of others as an SME to provide security guidance and to support the Data and Information Architecture decisions and end-to-end solution.-
**What will make you successful in this role?**
- This role will fulfil a leading role in the following:
- Ensure clean-up of non-compliant access.
- Ensure that logical access processes are documented and signed off.
- Ensure that DevOps practices are followed in the Change Management process.
- Evaluate outputs of regular user and support environment role accesses reviews.
- Work closely with the Application development & Support Squads to ensure that all changes are properly assessed, approved and documented.
- Assist with the development and implementation of new processes and procedures in accordance with ITIL best practices.
- Collaborate with other IT departments to ensure that all configuration items are properly integrated and aligned with overall IT services and infrastructure.
- Continuously improve management processes to optimize efficiency and effectivenes
- Knowledge and Experience- Good understanding of logical access principles for structured and unstructured platforms
- Role-based access design adoption and address exceptions
- Application security
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the Application environment and in ITIL configuration management
- Security Architecture: IAM and RBAC integration, SSO technologies, risk assessment
- Thorough understanding of Application integration architecture
- Working under pressure
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Assist Application development & Support Squads to provide evidence to internal and external audit
- Qualifications- Grade 12
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience
- Relevant certification such as ITIL Foundations or ITIL Intermediate - Service transition will be an asset
