**A position has become available within the Benefits Team for a motivated and efficient individual. The role is responsible for providing retirement and risk benefits administrative support with its main purpose to effectively manage and finalise all Member and Non Member Funeral and Death claims in ROA and RSA. The function requires a key focus on death-related processes and customer centric approach with the aim to provide an effective and efficient resolution.**
**The key performance areas will be**:
- The thorough investigation and critical review of information provided to support the claim in terms of Section 37 C
- Collation, vetting and retention of all the supporting documentation on the members record
- Ensure timeous correspondence with the relevant beneficiaries and dependents within SLA
- Ensure detailed, accurate and timeous claims report is provided together with a distribution recommendation in order to present to the Committee for resolution. Ensure all the relevant documentation and processes are administered post the resolution to enable claims submission to the Fund administrator
- Continuous focus on process improvement and efficiencies as well as identifying risks and provide possible solutions to correct and mitigate these risks
- Ensure the relevant process reports are completed and current in line with the relevant departmental SLA
- Ad hoc duties and projects aligned to departmental KPA’s.
- Maintaining an audit trail of all interactions with beneficiaries and dependents using the relevant system and processes
**You should have**:
- Matric
- 3-5 years Administration experience
- 2-3 years as a 37 c investigator experience
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Good working knowledge of MS office (Outlook, Word and Excel (essential)
- Strong numerical and analytical ability
- Excellent administrative skills and exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
- Self-disciplined with the ability to work under pressure, independently and as part of a team
- High adaptability, flexibility, resilience and agility
- A thorough, organised and methodical approach to work
- Good problem-solving skills
- English (essential) and other Afrikaans and/or African languages
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
