Duties/Pligte

- Bied kliniese ondersteuning vir navorsingstudies;
- Bied samewerking in nuwe en bestaande studies;
- Verseker tydige werwing vir alle navorsingsprojekte en -protokolle ten einde die studie se strategiese doelwitte te implementer;
- Samewerking met die studiespan om die navorsingstrategieë te optimaliseer;
- Deels verantwoordelik vir sekere studie-administrasie;
- Verantwoordelik vir studie beplanning en -logistiek
- Assisting with HIV research studies;
- Providing clinical support for research studies;
- Collaborating on new and ongoing studies;
- Ensuring timely recruitment for all research studies and protocols in order to implement study strategic targets;
- Working with the study team in order to optimise research strategies;
- Assuming partial responsibility for study administration;
- Accountable for study planning and logistics.

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
- MBChB-graad;
- Een jaar ervaring as 'n mediese beampte in 'n navorsingspos of omgewing;
- Geregistreer om in Suid-Afrika se praktiseer;
- Geduld en empatie en moet dit geniet om met kinders te werk;
- Goeie skriftelike en mondelinge kommunikasievaardighede;
- Goeie begrip van politieke, konfidensiële en etiese kwessies rondom MIV-infeksie;
- 'n Geldige rybewys.
- MBChB degree;
- One year experience as a medical officer in a research post or environment;
- Registered to practise in South Africa;
- Patience and compassion and must enjoy working with children;
- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- Good understanding of political, confidential, and ethical issues surrounding HIV infection;
- Valid driver's licence.

- Further education in paediatrics;
- An interest in HIV/AIDS;
- An interest in the community and research skills development;
- GCP experience;
- Computer literate;
- Clinical trial and research experience;
- Experience of antiretroviral therapy and infectious diseases;
- The ability to work well independently and in a team;
- The ability to develop and maintain a good working climate among the study personnel;
- Interest in developing own research projects.
