Duties/Pligte
- Behulpsaam met die uitvoer van HIV-navorsingstudies;
- Verskaf kliniese ondersteuning vir navorsingstudies;
- Samewerking in nuwe en bestaande studies;
- Verseker tydige werwing vir alle navorsingsprojekte en -protokolle ten einde die studie se strategiese doelwitte te implementeer;
- Samewerking met die studiespan om die navorsingstrategieë te optimaliseer;
- Deels verantwoordelik vir sekere studie-administrasie;
- Verantwoordelik vir studie beplanning en -logistieke.
- Assisting with HIV research studies;
- Providing clinical support for research studies;
- Collaborating on new and on-going studies;
- Ensuring timely recruitment for all research studies and protocols, in order to implement the study's strategic targets;
- Collaborating with the study team in order to optimise research strategies;
- Assuming partial responsibility for study administration;
- Accountable for study planning and logistics.

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
- MBChB-graad;
- Een jaar ervaring as 'n mediese beampte in Pediatrie/Interne Geneeskunde/ Huisartskunde;
- Geregistreer om in Suid-Afrika se praktiseer;
- 'n Geldige rybewys;
- Geduld en empatie; moet dit geniet om met kinders te werk;
- Goeie skriftelike en mondelinge kommunikasievaardighede;
- Goeie begrip van politieke, konfidensiële en etiese kwessies rondom MIV-infeksie.
- MBChB degree;
- One year experience as a Medical Officer in Paediatrics/Internal Medicine/Family Medicine;
- A valid driver's licence;
- Registered to practice in South Africa;
- Patience and compassion; must enjoy working with children;
- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- Good understanding of political, confidential, and ethical issues surrounding HIV infection.

- An interest in HIV/aids;
- An interest in the community and research skills development;
- GCP experience;
- Computer literate;
- Clinical trial and research experience;
- Experience of antiretroviral therapy and infectious diseases;
- Further education in Paediatrics;
- The ability to work well independently and in a team;
- The ability to develop and maintain good working climate among the study personnel;
- Interest in developing own research projects.
