- The Risk Management Committee Chairperson is an integral element of the governance, risk, and compliance within the organisation. The Risk Management Committee Chairperson reports via the Audit and Risk Committee to the Accounting Authority and provides oversight in relation to all aspects of the enterprise risk management, combined assurance, compliance, anti-corruption, and fraud as well as business continuity management, including but not limited to the following.- Review risk management framework, policy, charter, strategy, and implementation plan- Monitoring implementation of the risk management framework, policy, charter, strategy, and implementation plan- Provide guidance on the integration of risk management into planning, monitoring, and reporting processes.- Assist in reviewing risk management action plans to be instituted and ensure compliance with the plan.- Provide advice guidance on setting risk appetite and review risk appetite, tolerance levels, and anti-fraud measures.-
**Inherent Requirements**
- The Chairperson of Risk Management Committee requirements are as follows:
- A minimum of a Post Graduate Degree in Internal Auditing or Risk Management or related- Master of Business Administration (MBA) *Proof of qualification must be submitted*- The Chairperson of the Risk Committee must demonstrate a minimum of 10 years of senior management experience gained within the following areas on their CV:
- Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance, Anti-fraud Corruption and Corporate Governance and,- Knowledge of Public Finance Management Act and Treasury Regulations, Enterprise-Wide Risk Management (EWRNM), ISO 31000 Standard, COSO model, and Public Sector Risk Management Framework.- This experience must be within Public Services such as SETA Environment, Government Departments, State Owned Entities *Experience must be demonstrated on the CV*- The Chairperson of the Risk Committee must have a minimum of eight (8) years of previous experience serving as a member or chairperson of the Audit and Risk Committee or Risk Management Committee. *Experience must be demonstrated on the CV**What Qualification**
