Assistant Trainer

**Purpose of the Position**:

- **To facilitate** Lifting Operating Mobile & Telehandler Equipment, Transportation of MEWP and certain Unit Standard training on site with clients, per the requirements set by the applicable SETA's.
- **To conduct **Assessments against QMS and Seta required standards.

**Qualifications**:

- Grade 12
- Qualified Facilitator & Assessor.

**Experience**:

- 2 + years’ experience as Trainer, Assessor - sub roles within job.
- Experience training on MEWPs, forklift or any plant hire machinery an advantage.

**Knowledge**:

- Seta, SAQA, OHSACT and all relevant Legislations and requirements to ensure total adherence
- Conduct quality training - Qualified facilitator and the ability to transfer skills knowledge.
- Qualified assessor and the ability to assess against unit standards.
- Conduct Assessments - qualified assessor and the ability to assess POEs per Seta and QMS requirements.
- QMS & Legislative Requirements - Seta, SAQA, OHSACT and all relevant legislations and requirements to ensure adherence.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Conduct Quality Training** - Properly prepare for each training session in line with QMS.
- Ensure all bookings and allocations have been done prior to training.
- Ensure training material is available for all training.
- Training is conducted against unit standard requirements.
- All documents required for submission is obtained from learners and in the POE before submission for moderation.
- All training conducted to be assessed within 5 days from date of training within the required specification from SETA.
- Ensure completed POE’s are filed in training files (Hand to administrator).
- **Plan & Maintain Training Register** - Ensure training register is completed with full details of training conducted.
- Ensure training booked has been conducted.
- Performing function testing of MEWP machines.
- Performing relevant site inspections to ensure proper working conditions for the MEWP machines.
- **Manage and maintain QMS & Learner Material** - Ensure all QMS requirements are adhered with.
