Mi Reporting and Analytics Lead

Job purpose

The purpose of the role is to manage the core data and MI within the company's operational environment and to provide
accurate, timely and insightful Management Information to the organisation’s senior leadership team.

Duties and responsibilities
The MIS and Reporting Manager will:

- Focus on providing data driven insights to help key stakeholders make strategic and operational decisions in pursuit of our commercial goals and objectives.
- To design and deliver a data analytics capability, enabling the business to access historical information, including databases, ETL, and visualisation solutions.
- To ensure that the confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility of data is enhanced.
- Provide direction and support to improve the usage of data to drive quality discussions around sales and retention.
- Develop the organisation’s data analytics roadmap and ensure delivery.
- Manage the preparation of our monthly MI pack and play a key role in presenting that information to the Leadership team.
- Undertake data analysis and to present findings in a meaningful way.
- Develop strategic relationships with technology providers and prioritise deliverables.
- Master data sources and visualisation to support the rest of the Strategy and Transformation team in analytical projects and strategic presentations, and to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operational decision-making
- Ensure the provision of accurate and timeous KPI tracking and trending across LNSA.
- Promote data driven decision making through: The delivery of ad hoc data requests; The development of a suite of standardised MI reports; Automation and dashboard development; Proactively share information and insights.
- Ensure the maintenance, monitoring and continuous improvement of data environment and reports.
- Develop a deep understanding of the key trends impacting Product and Solutions’ cost and revenue base
- Support delivery of the annual strategic planning exercises, including ‘What-If’ scenario analysis and responses to multi-year revenue and expense challenges
- Leverage data and business expertise to ‘deep dive’ into key business trends and performance drivers to provide new insights and influence business strategy
- Provide budget projections for 3-year planning, adhering to strict submission deadlines throughout the process.
- Provide business and insights support into the Stakeholder relationships.
- Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders to enable an effective flow of information between the functions, its senior management team and LNSA Exco
- Support the Products and Solutions stakeholders in building robust business cases for new investments, products and services to drive commercial value and support strategic planning and client deals
- Provide input into LNSA market conduct scorecard by agreed date and in agreed format; Interpretation of market conduct scorecard measures.
- Conduct impact assessments and prioritisation of changes requested by the business, including data architecture.
- Keep abreast with BI industry developments.
- Promote an environment of learning and innovation in the data analytics team.
- Essential Requirements
Minimum Experience Level
- 5 years+ analytical experience (data analytics)
- Working experience in SQL database management
- Technical skills: SQL, VBA, Power BI/Tableau
- Broad technology skills, including IT, software integration, and data analytics
- Depth of experience in MI, data analysis and management

- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
- Post Graduate qualification in Mathematics / Applied Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science /
