Our client in the Hotel sector is looking for a Cluster Director of MIS, Sandton

The Cluster Director of MIS is responsible for leading and managing the MIS department of multiple hotels. This position is tasked with ensuring the efficient functioning of the various systems used in property management, deploying new technologies, and training personnel on the use of technology. The Director of MIS must also ensure that the company experience meets and exceeds customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and maintain information systems, networks, and databases to ensure the efficient operation of hotels
- Supervise the installation, maintenance, and servicing of computer hardware, software, and related equipment
- Design and oversee the implementation of IT strategies in collaboration with other department heads
- Create and communicate MIS system performance standards
- Develop and implement training programs for personnel on the use of various systems
- Monitor system performance to ensuring it meets customer expectations
- Stay abreast of new technology and recommend implementation
- Evaluate the cost, quality and performance of vendors and assist in making decisions regarding MIS services and products
- Establish policies and procedures related to the use of information land networks
- Create and maintain documentation for MIS systems
- Work with vendors and consultants regarding MIS systems upgrades
- Support the effective operation of hotel property management systems (PMS)
- Create appropriate MIS reports for internal and external use.

**Salary**: R 65 000 CTC (including medical aid/prov fund), plus bonus
