**About The Role**

The main purpose of the role is to provide clients with financial due diligence services which includes buy-side due diligence, sell-side due diligence, vendor assist services and exit readiness reviews. This will also entail managing and providing on the job coaching to junior staff.

**What You'll Do**
- Analysis and modelling of financial performance (past and future) of an acquisition target including
- Performing financial reviews of target companies' profitability, liquidity and solvency
- Analysing and reviewing historical performance against budget and investigating reasons for variations
- The preparation of financial due diligence reports
- Overall responsibility for delivery of smaller projects (direct with Partner / Director) or responsibility for standalone divisions / sections of FDD on larger projects (this will include buy or sell side, refinancing and equity raising transactions)
- Due diligence team management and co-ordination (including dealing with client, target management, on the job coaching, review of junior work etc.)
- Direct communication with the clients on key issues relating to your sections
- Direct communication and liaisons with M&A bankers and clients on appropriate presentation and business valuation of target opportunities, in line with diligence findings
- Supervision and mentoring of Consultants and taking full responsibility for review of their analysis / sections and being accountable for their output
- Identification of key value drivers, SPA price adjustments, and deal breakers
- Business development including identification and valuation of target opportunities and preparation of pitch documents
- Effective communication with senior members of the team and clients
- Proactive development of internal and external relationships

**What You Will Need to Succeed**

**Basic Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2 years of M&A, transactions or valuations experience
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or working towards certification

**Preferred Skills**:

- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or working towards certification
- Previous experience at an Audit or Consulting firm
