- 1 - 2 years’ experience in Building / Maintenance works
**Advantageous**:
- The ability to read and understand Technical drawings
**Responsibilities**:
Core Operational Duties
- Execute tasks according to priorities and project plans
- Adhere to schedules and maintain timelines
- Prepare construction / maintenance work areas
- Organize tools and materials required for the task at hand
- Maintain clean and safe working areas
- Ensure that all safety guidelines and regulations are followed
- Regular inventory check of materials and tools
- Be proactive in finding efficient ways to work
- Specific skills:
- Building skills (Brick and Mortar)
- Plumbing (Basic)
- Electrical Heavy Current (Basic)
- Use of Power and Hand Tools
- Working at Heights
- Scaffold erection
- Firefighting - Level 1
- Adhoc duties
People
- Performance must be tracked by yourself, and the onus is placed on you to set-up performance review
meetings with the Line Manager
Compliance, risk and quality
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Identify and report issues on site to Projects Team Leader
- Report on progress to the Projects Team Leader at various checkpoints
**Skills and competencies**:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be result-driven.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Team player and ability to show initiative at all times.
- Ability to work under pressure and still produce quality results timeously.
- Must prioritize and anticipate time frames and plan accordingly.
