SplashOut has exciting opportunities available for a General Assistant to be based in Umhlanga, Durban. The successful incumbent will assist with the smooth running of the fleet maintenance - washing vehicles, assisting with loading stock, assist with vehicle maintenance any adhoc duties.

**Advantageous**:

- Working Experience in a car wash environment

**Responsibilities**:

- Cleaning of vehicles
- Assisting with repairs and general vehicle maintenance
- Assist with vehicle inspections
- Ensure work area is neat and tidy at all times
- Ensure that duties are carried out efficiently.
- Provides various other duties with regards to the warehousing operation as and when required.
- Stock take and record of all tools and materials used.
- Assist to fill in with any duties that may be required within the department.
- Treat all machinery with care.
- Handle stock items with care

**People**:

- Respect reporting lines and all colleagues.
- Able to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with team members, stakeholders, and suppliers.
- Record all time and attendance as per the Bio-time system.
- Use safety wear as directed and take care of the safety wear. Lock up safety wear when not in use.
- Able to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks and achieve set targets.
- Able to work well under pressure and handle emergency and stressful situations.
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy.

**Compliance, risk and quality**:

- Comply with company policies and procedures (dress code/uniforms/safety wear, smoke breaks, confidentiality, operational processes etc.)
- Compliance with health of safety standards implemented at the Warehouse.
- Be cognizant of any hazards. Report risks to the fleet manager.

**Skills and competencies**:

- Good communication and interpersonal skill
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be result driven
- Team player and ability to show initiative at all times
- Ability to work under pressure and still produce quality results timeously
- Strong People Management skills and problem-solving skills
- Must have a strong sense of accountability
