International Operations Officer

- Review and reconcile the settlement of offshore equity scrip positions held at different custodians.
- Process entries to resolve reconciliation breaks.
- Process cash payments, fees and invoices for payments as required.
- Facilitate transfers between settlement locations, where required.
- Monitor trades to ensure straight through processing settlement into back-office administration system.
- Liaise with counterparty contacts, internal stakeholders and third-party service providers (where necessary) to resolve reconciliation breaks.
- Prepare reporting on offshore cash and scrip reconciliations for management reporting.
- Respond to queries from business regarding cash and scrip reconciliations.
- Communicate reconciliation breaks and issues that may impact trading and client reporting to other operations divisions and business.
- Suggest and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency.
- Participate in improvement initiatives and projects in the team, business unit and companywide as required.
- Update and maintain process documentation (eg. standard operating procedures, checklists) for reconciliation function.
- Assist and train other team members when required.
- Qualification and Experience- Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance or Economics.
- Relevant working experience in a similar role.
- Personal Qualities- Self-motivated, proactive, taking ownership of problems until they are resolved.
- Mature person with the sense of responsibility to do after hours

- Knowledge and Skills- Extensive Financial Service / Fund Administration experience preferred
- Deep understanding of international financial markets with a particular focus on equities
- Detailed understanding of the Private Client business and the stock-broking environment
