Operational Risk Support Manager

The Operational Risk Officer will coordinate, validate, monitor and report on all facets of operational risk across Glacier. What will make you successful in this role?
The following outcomes will be expected to be achieved by the Operational Risk Officer;
- Facilitate the identification & assessment of operational risk throughout the business;
- Monitoring of the risk mitigation plans and effectiveness thereof;
- Monitoring and reporting of meaningful key risk indicators and the trends that emanate;
- Facilitate and administer Risk Control Self Assessments;
- Drafting Operational Risk Reports, Incident Handling Reports containing risk events (includes occupational health and safety), emerging risk reports which cumulatively provides a view of the operational risk profile of Glacier;
- Enhance and maintain Glacier’s Operational Risk Management Framework in alignment with the Glacier Enterprise Wide Risk Management Policy;
- Ensure Bwise and later Cura Risk Management software is up to date with all matters pertaining to Operational Risk;
- Key contributor to operational resilience within Glacier(includes BCP initiatives);
- Identify opportunities for using Data Analytics to monitor the operational environment;
- Training and awareness creation of Operational Risk.

Qualifications and experience
- Relevant Tertiary qualification, with qualification in Risk Management advantageous
- At least 5 years’ experience in a LISP operational environment
- At least 5 years experience in a governance team
- MS Office suite essential

Qualification and Experience Degree or Diploma with 5 to 6 years related experience. Knowledge and Skills Demonstrates an understanding of business processes and the incidents being reported. Obtains as much detail of reported allegation as possible to ensure information supports a forensics investigation, whilst maintaining anonymity of caller. Accountable for receiving incoming calls from anonymous whistle blowers in a professional manner Displays sound judgement in respect of urgency and sensitivity of information received.
