A career opportunity exists for a **Section Leader Blend Floor** within the Logistics team based at our **Durban Tea factory**. The successful incumbent will report to the Logistics Manager
**Job Specification**:
**Key Performance Areas**:
**Minimum Requirements**:

- Establish a visual workplace area
- Conduct & communicate department performance at daily meetings
- Motivate & train all subordinates within the department
- Ensure that the daily and weekly blending requirements are communicated to the teams.
- Ensure people, material and machine resources are available to meet blending requirements
- Labour utilisation
- Generate Nonconformance & Works request
- Housekeeping of department
- Assist in the supervision of the Raw materials stores department in absence of a supervisor
- Daily/weekly stocks counts are completed and verified
- Batch control of blended stock
- Assist with site quarterly and yearly stock counts
- Counseling team members for absenteeism, poor performance and initiating disciplinary action where necessary
- Refer team members to EAP when the need arises
- Assist in the recruitment and selection of team members
- Monitor and manage departmental fixed costs
- Maintain the condition of forklift equipment
- Control the cleanliness of the work area & courtyard that broken pallets & waste are discarded
- Check all forklift resources are in good working condition and verify according to checklists
- Understand the tea blending process from blending, packaging, and dispatch
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of the QMS
- Achieve and maintain GMP standards
- Write, update and train team members in SOP’s
- Ensure team members adhere to Health and Safety policy and procedure at all times
- Report unsafe working conditions

**Experience**:

- 2 years working experience as a Supervisor within a storage facility
- Industrial relations experience at supervisory level
- FMCG experience would be an advantage

**Qualifications**:

- Matric
- Diploma in Inventory Management / Inbound and Outbound Logistics
**Additional Requirements**:

- SAP - High level of competence required
- Computer literate (Advanced Excel and MS Word,)
- Fluent in English (verbal and written)
- Understand the tea blending process from blending, packaging, and despatch
- Basic understanding of manufacturing process
- Be able to work shifts/overtime when required
