**About the position**

**Key Accountabilities**

You will work closely with senior members of staff and department heads to identify, develop, and support new technology solutions. You will also be responsible for creating and ensuring adherence to company IT policy, procedures, and best practices regulations.

It is also important to note that based on the industry we operate in and the fact that we deliver real time services to our customers we need to strive for “no-down” time of all our services, and continually drive for improvement all IT systems, processes, and people.
- Manage the day-to-day workload of the Development & infrastructure team, ensuring that work is allocated, prioritised, and completed within defined KPIs.
- Actively drive improvements and efficiencies within the team.
- Maintaining an effective & robust Agile Methodology ensuring to uphold best practices & processes.
- Evaluate the use of existing tools, platforms & processes within development and make recommendations in relation to better use of tools to increase efficiency.
- Liaise with other role players to ensure that new team structures are effectively adopted, and that Application Support and the various development teams, ie BA’s QA’ work well together.

**Key Competencies**

**Education**
- Bachelor's degree - majors computer science, engineering, information systems, and management information systems

**Experience**
- Minimum of ten years of experience preferred in a role involving IT Development team management.
- Experience working with the following tech stack - C#, Rest API (JSON), SQL, Nodejs, PostgreSQL, ITIL environment and AWS
- Implementing and adhering to best practice processes and ways of working within a development team
- Working with third parties to deliver an IT Service, negotiating outsourced contracts and ongoing Vendor Management.
