AMANDLA is the developer of the Safe-Hub model, which establishes a world-class infrastructure in disadvantaged communities, providing a physically and emotionally safe space where young people access services, opportunities and support from strong role models through sports-based programmes that focuses on health, safety, education, and employability.

We are currently rolling out the Safe-Hub® model across South Africa, as well as, developing iconic Development Precincts aiming to break inter-generational cycles of poverty. **Job Scope**:
As a Project Manager, you will hold responsibility for the management, coordination and implementation of cross-functional infrastructure, programme and product development projects. Whilst doing so, you will organise, support and structure meetings and tasks within projects. You will, co-create, revise and facilitate execution of project plans in order to meet needs and requirements while identifying required resources, tracking and coordinating responsibilities and optimising processes for efficient delivery of projects to scope. Lastly, you will establish an effective ways of working within the project team, and lead cross-functional, inter-disciplinary teams toward shared outcomes.

**Core duties** and **responsibilities** include:

- Manage and coordinate projects from design to delivery in conjunction with Project Management Office (PMO) Manager;
- Prepare briefs and accurately relay relevant information to the project team and relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth and successful project delivery;
- Work closely with the PMO Manager, project owners and functional directors in an dynamic and supportive environment to maximise each project’s success;
- Prepare and revise project timelines with project team members, partners and stakeholders to ensure milestones and deadlines are met;
- Coordinate project team members for appropriate and efficient resource allocation throughout project lifecycle;
- Keep partners informed of progress and major milestones throughout projects and manage expectations;
- Identify risks upfront and effectively mitigate and manage these with our team and partners;
- Ensure that projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to scope;
- Report to the PMO Manager on project statuses, and future project optimisation suggestions.

**Education and Knowledge**

**Minimum**
- Bachelor’s Degree; _and/or_
- Relevant professional qualifications in project management (e.g. PMP)

**Experience and Skills**

**Minimum**
- Project or programme management experience
- Experience in both agile and traditional project management approaches
- Experience in virtual/digital team management
- Proven ability to execute cross-functional projects successfully
- Ability to resolve problems in a timely and consistent manner
- Strong communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to rally a team with a positive attitude
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office & MS Projects)
- Ability to communicate in English

**Desirable**
- Certification in Agile/SCRUM project management
- Management/Leadership experience

- Experience of working in youth development, education and/or start-up environment
