Duties and Responsibilities but not limited
- Deeply understand the goals and needs of our customers:

- Interview customers
- Conduct useability testing and review feedback
- Analysis on incoming customer support to identify pain points and opportunities
- Insights from business stakeholders
- Become familiar with our industry landscape and use those insights to ensure our platform is competitive
- Identify new opportunity areas to meet emerging or shifting consumer demand patterns
- Run and lead short discovery strategy phases of work, develop business transformation vision,
- value roadmap, high-level target solution designs, target experiences
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define the Objectives and Key Results (OKR's)
- Work with Client Account Leads where appropriate to ensure requirements align to greater account objectives and supports targets set for the year
- Define the data required to measure the objectives and key results
- Create functional requirements
- Work with development teams to refine the requirements by addressing not only feasibility but also opportunities to creatively solve problems
- Define functional test criteria
- Keep the backlog up to date and prioritised
- Provide clarity and refinement on requirements when needed
- Ensure continuous stakeholder engagement and management
- Own the onboarding, training or release strategies for new features
- Collaborate with product designers to test prototypes

Job Specification - Product Owner
- Engage in product demos and reviews
- Manage timelines and deliverables with the agile coach
- Run useability testing workshops with customers and internal stakeholders
- Organisational skills
- Contribute to team agreements for the Squad

Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent/similar
- 5+ years hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle
- Balance of technical knowledge and business acumen
- Ability to think innovatively and design and deliver client oriented digital solutions
- Customer first mind set
- Ability to work with stakeholders to understand their needs and build trusted relationships
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams
- Ability to perform well with defined timelines and milestones
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, and assess and adjust quickly to changing priorities
- Proactive, self-starter is key
- Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and
- stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment
- Work experience as a Product Owner or similar role in product management is a plus
- Understanding of delivery methodologies with an emphasis on agile is a plus

Work Location
- Johannesburg, but mostly remote with an occasional requirement to co-locate with colleagues as the job requires.
