Planet Fitness is looking for a Product Owner/Development Manager that will be solely responsible for driving the Planet Fitness App Product roadmap, backlog and development. In parallel the role will be responsible for driving the product roadmap and backlog for facets/features of the App that transgress into a Web based offering via Planet Fitness’s Website. The role will steer and drive cross functionality across the business, lead a SteerCO comprising of various Exco, Manco and business leaders.

**Work Break Down Responsibilities**:
The incumbent will be responsible for the following job functions:

- Product Management and Development
- Lead and drive the product (App & Web) strategy, roadmap and backlog
Continuously research (internal, external and industry) trends, futurism and incorporate into the Product roadmap
Gather feature requests and needs, and translate these for the development team
Organise SCRUMs and grooming sessions both with business stakeholders and the development team
Design and bring to life **_futurism/Version X_** of the App and Web
Design customer and user journey flows for the App and Web
Incorporate and bring to life Fitness Technology integrations
Leading & partnering with development resources to deliver future state customer experiences, user interfaces and system interfaces- Monetization, Up-sell and Cross-sell
- Drive a strategy of monetization of the App
Bring to life and constantly enhance the Freemium, Premium and VIP business models of the App
Craft a business proposition for revenue from for Freemium, Premium and VIP
Build breakeven and profitability models for the App and the Freemium, Premium and VIP business models
Bring to life rewards and benefits in App that drive usage, engagement and downloads
Create a product backlog for cross-sell and upsell offerings that are activated monthly on the App
Create a product backlog of integrated gamified challenges that forms part of rewards, benefits and/or monetization- Content, Coaching and AI
- Ideate, Design and create a 12-month content strategy for the App and Web
Integrate out-of-home, digital and spray and pray strategies to market and grow App downloads, usage and engagement
Partner with the Head of Product (Fitness) to integrate the Personal Trainers and Fitness Coaches
Collaborate and co-create community topics and content for the App in partnership with the Head of Product (Fitness)
Enhance, create a knowledge base, and aggressively grow the App’s AI Coach capabilities, features and offerings
Ensure the App CI, theming and content is relevant, modern and contemporary- App Ranking, Integrations, Reporting and Tech Debt
- Formulate a 12-month strategy that ensures the App is ranked in the top 3, within its sector and industry
Ensure the App integrations are delivering a 99.9% uptime and are constantly optimized
Bring to life App reporting that traces and tracks: 1) Downloads; 2) Usage; 3) Engagement; 4) Feature Likes; 5) Platform popularity (iOS, Android, etc); 6) ROI against marketing spend; and 7) App Performance
Over a 12-month cycle partner with the Dev Team to prioritize at least 1 Tech Debt bug/inefficiency
Clean-up App code and migrate from a low code/no code model to a coding base that enables scale, reusability and services
- **Experience & Competencies**:

- Minimum of Diploma / Degree
Must have 5 years experience within a product ownership or management role
Must have minimum of 5 years management experience
Working or leading a development team would be advantageous
Experience with Agile, Scrums and related methodologies
