**JOB PURPOSE**:
Our client situated in Hermanus is looking for a Human Resources Officer, reporting to Head of HR and is responsible for providing support in the various Human Resources functions.

**FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS/ACTIVITIES**
- **Recruitment and Selection**
- **Labour Relations**

Assists in the development of procedures and guidelines for handling employee grievances and disciplinary processes; Provides advice and support regarding the management of LRA matters;

Assist with updates of current legislation within the operation of the Human Resources Function and roll out to the business.
- **Benefits and Remuneration**

Payroll & Biometric System - Knowledge of payroll software and the integration of a biometric system. Specific duties and responsibilities shall include tracking employee work hours, updating records when an employee's status changes, answering payroll questions employees may have.
- **HR Operational Function**:
1.1. Talent Management & Succession Planning. Assists with the annual Performance Appraisal/Reviews and mapping to align talent

1.2. Active involvement of Human Resources Information Systems upkeep i.e. Absenteeism.

1.3. Effective communicating HR information to various departments, as it is generally time-sensitive information.

1.4. & General Human Resources duties as may be operationally required.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS**:

- Grade 12
- Relevant Diploma or degree in Business Management and or Human Resources Management

**RELATED EXPERIENCE**:

- Minimum 1-3 Years’ experience in Human Resources department
- Additional training or certification in Sage Payroll Management would be an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Drivers licence
