Senior Credit Risk Analyst

Our Client is searching for a **Senior Credit Risk Analyst** to join their team in Boksburg. This person will be rotating on a 2-week basis between **Business travel** to the Coastal regions( Western Cape, Southern Cape, Eastern Cape, KwaZulu Natal) and the **Office (Boksburg)** for admin-related functions.

The Senior Credit Risk Analyst role entails maintaining financial models that predict credit risk exposure of the organization and conducting data-driven analytics, utilizing various analytical tools, software, and techniques to develop/optimize acquisition risk strategies. The Senior Credit Risk Analyst conducts financial analysis and forecasting for recommendations, tracking, and analysing the performance of debtors’ books. The Senior Credit Risk Analyst contributes to the team’s efficient and effective credit risk assessment and prepares credit risk assessments and portfolio reporting. They also work with team members to identify risk mitigation opportunities and develop/maintain portfolio reports that support this function. They investigate opportunities to invest in technology that can aid the credit department in accelerating the decision-making process, and/or improving the quality and consistency of credit decisions made.

**Position Brief**:

- Oversee customer credit risk management portfolio and effective customer collections support to the team of credit controllers, ongoing credit assessments, and risk category and credit limit maintenance.
- Adopt, communicate, and enforce the group credit policy, building in-person relationships with major customers and internal customers such as sales, CSC, and supply chain division.
- Knowledge of laws and regulations impacting on credit risk such as the Company’s Act, Insolvency Act, National Credit Act, and Consumer Protection Act.
- Ability to read and interpret financial statements.
- Provide recommendations and outcomes that will enhance key organizational activities; and ensure customer satisfaction with credit risk. Establish and guarantee credit policies and manage credit exceptions regarding CGIC processes.
- Ensure compliance and credit risk standards are maintained.
- Significant experience in credit risk analysis and collection management or financial accounting
- A business perspective on the context of credit decisions
- Able to analyze data and derive insights into action with a focus on delivering timelines and KPIs
- Great teamwork and communication skills

**Qualifications / Skills**:

- Matric / Grade 12
- B. Com Degree / 3-Year Financial / Credit Management Qualification
- Credit Management Level 3 - 4
- Computer Literate
- **7-10 years of Credit Risk Analysis experience**:
