**Key Responsibilities**:
ØThe Key Functional responsibilities of the Transport Supervisor include but are not limited to:
ØCheck the presentation of the driver on arrival to the DC.
ØEnsure that the driver thoroughly completes the pre-trip truck inspection.
ØRecord that the fridges are running at the correct temperatures on the trip log.
ØConduct an alcohol test on the driver and enter details on the vehicle check sheet.
ØGet the vehicle check sheet back from the driver.
ØCheck for any defaults and sign the vehicle check sheet to indicate that the vehicle is safe to dispatch.
ØIssue driver with tag, probe and driver bag which includes a fuel card, cell phone, calibrated thermometer, latest shelf life matrix, mop caps, offloading procedures, GDPS, accident reports and rain covers.
ØIssue driver with the correct documentation making sure that the driver has the correct invoices, load diagram and trip log.
ØMake sure that the driver has working and clean delivery equipment.
ØEnsure that the driver and VA are dressed in the correct uniform.
ØCheck that the pallet label corresponds to trolley diagram.

**ØBrief drivers on the following**:
ØProduct security. Rout information and changes.
ØSpeeding, Safety, Performance. Promo or limited supply items.
ØImplement driver training plans by scheduling and implementing plans to improve driver performance, driver adherence to company quality standards, safety on the road, and continued medical suitability for employment.
ØIssue uniforms and protective clothing.
ØEnsure that automatic repairs are affected and authorized according to procedures.
ØEnsure that non routing repairs are affected and authorized according to procedures.
ØEnsure accurate completion of breakdown, accident and incident reports.
ØAchieve 100% on time safe dispatch from the DC and compliance with dispatch procedure.
ØImplement corrective actions if standards are not achieved.
ØEnsure 100% compliance with DQSP standards.
ØVerification of cleaning procedures resulting in clean vehicles.
ØEnsure that de-briefer has completed all debrief and vehicle check sheets. Ensure 100% control of equipment returns.
ØCommunicate with CSR regarding late deliveries.
ØEnsure accurate recording of transport working hours and non-working hours.
ØEnsure accurate recording and reconciliation of fuel, oil and toll expenses.

**Minimum Requirements**:
Ø3-5 years experience in a supervisory role managing shift, People, Health and Safety, corrective action & the management of transport admin and multi temperature stock items.
ØGrade 12 is compulsory with Relevant Tertiary Degree in Transport Management or similar.
ØGood Warehousing & Distribution, Transport, FMCG, QRS Management.
ØIntermediate to advanced Computer literacy MS Excel, Outlook PowerPoint, Advanced (WMS) Skills EPOD system experience.
