**RESERVATIONIST - CAPE TOWN - R8000 to R15000 DOE**

We are currently recruiting for qualified RESERVATIONISTS for our client, a Booking Consolidator company based in Cape Town, you will be responsible for managing reservations and bookings for various travel services. Your main objective will be to provide exceptional customer service, ensure accurate and timely reservations, and contribute to the overall success of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
Reservation Management:

- Assist customers in selecting appropriate travel services based on their preferences and requirements.
- Make reservations for flights, accommodations, car rentals, tours, and other travel-related services.
- Ensure accurate and detailed information is entered into the reservation system.
- Coordinate with travel suppliers to confirm bookings and resolve any issues or changes.

Customer Service:

- Provide prompt, professional, and courteous customer service to all clients.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and effective manner.
- Offer recommendations and travel advice to enhance the customer experience.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business.

Administrative Tasks:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of reservations, bookings, and customer interactions.
- Prepare invoices, process payments, and manage billing and financial transactions.
- Generate reports related to reservations, bookings, and customer satisfaction as required.
- Collaborate with the team to develop efficient workflows and improve operational processes.

Product Knowledge:

- Stay updated on travel industry trends, destinations, and supplier offerings.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of various travel services, including flights, hotels, car rentals, and tours.
- Advise customers on travel regulations, visa requirements, and any other relevant information.

Qualifications and Skills:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in travel and tourism is a plus.
- Proven experience as a reservationist, travel agent, or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in reservation and booking systems (e.g., Amadeus, Galileo, Tourplan and Papertrail) is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong command of English.
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as required.
- Experience working on is an advantage
- Demonstrable experience in the tourism industry, with expertise in Southern African travel arrangements.
- Computer literate, with exceptional attention to detail and professional writing skills
- Top-notch interpersonal skills, including communication, respect, and empathy
- A knack for multi-tasking with fast turnaround times
- Capacity to deliver commendable services that surpass customers’ and guests’ expectations
- A team player and also able to work independently
- Willingness to ask questions, take criticism constructively, and continually learn and grow with the position
