We care for one another and we work together as a team to achieve our aims The role is divided into two key components: delivering a consistently high level of landscape maintenance service as well as acquiring and managing additional business. The successful applicants management of his maintenance team and directly employed staff will be a critical success factor to delivering landscape maintenance and work on-time to the specified standard. Key responsibilities will be: - Recruiting and training of labour in 'œWays of Working' and expected quality standards - Daily quality monitoring of work in progress and completed work - Line management and performance management - Effectively build and maintain client relationships - Effective and constant communication liaising extensively with internal and external stakeholders, which includes, the client, consultant, event's organisers, the general public, the police, resident groups, and other contractors. - Effectively monitor and evaluate service delivery to ensure that performance targets are met, review strategies and procedures as appropriate, aligning them with customer demand and feedback to continually enhance the commissioning service. - Ensure adequate monitoring and evaluation systems are in place and used to monitor outcomes and impacts on a regular basis, considering stakeholder perspectives and site audit frameworks - Effective planning with an eye for detail and proactive approach to maintenance work and finding solutions to site challenges. - Providing management reports The second key component of the Contract Manager role is ability to price, sell, and manage landscaping work. These works may either be additional landscape maintenance work required on sites currently maintained or large landscaping projects implemented as part of a construction project. In order to sell these works, the Contract Manager will have to develop successful working relationships with the client & decision-makers: Identify, price and supervise additional works on existing maintenance sites Two to three year's practical work experience ("on the tools") in landscaping or grounds maintenance Two to three year's management experience Further education, ideally in Horticulture or Landscaping or Environmental work.
