Human Resource Generalist

The main purpose is to assist the organisation with providing a full spectrum of Human Resource services, support, and solutions at an operational level. The successful incumbent will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the organisations policies, procedures and best practices.
**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Bcom or Btech Degree in Human Resource Management or Labour Law.
- Own vehicle and valid driver’s license.
- 3 - 5 years’ human resource management experience.
- 2-3 years’ experience in the manufacturing industry (advantageous)
- 2-3 years’ Sage 300 experience
- Bargaining council and CCMA experience (Non-Negotiable)

**ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- **1. Talent Acquisition**_
- Ensure best practice internal and external recruitment processes
- Source the right calibre of talent into the organization.
- Achieve recruitment costs savings goals
- End-to-end Recruitment Coordination
- Conduct all applicable background checks (qualifications, driver’s license, criminal & reference checks)
- Draw up of Employment contracts and offers
- **2. Employee Relations**_
- Guideline managers on enforcing the disciplinary code
- Support managers with investigations and case preparations.
- Coordinate all disciplinary hearings
- Formulate charges and submit them for review and approval by HR Manager
- Timeously and Accurately prepare matter bundles for all parties.
- Provide sound employee relations Advisory services.
- Consolidate and submit the IR Report monthly.
- **3. Reporting**_
- Timeously collate and submit all monthly and monthly HR reports e.g. Overtime Report, Abseentism Report, Employment Equity Report, Headcount Report etc. (for designated departments)
- Analyse quarterly reports and provide continuous improvement solutions (for designated departments)
- Collaborate with the HR Manager in the recommending and implementation of business continues improvement solutions, based on reports and data analytics.
- Collaborate with the HR Manager in exploring reports and data management methods and/or solutions
- **4. Talent Development**_
- Consolidate departmental skills audit and matrix on annual basis
- Consolidate and review departmental succession plan on annual basis
- Collaborate with the Learning and Development specialist in providing talent development advisory services.
- Implementation of departmental training plans.
5. Payroll (Remuneration, Benefits and terminations)
- Ensure compliance with the remuneration policy.
- Support the payroll department with enforcing Bargaining Council rules.
- Ensure that all employees are timeously loaded on payroll.
- Ensure that all bargaining unit employees are paid accordingly.
- Provide employee advisory services on queries relating to benefits
- Conducting Exit interviews
- Ensure that the proper termination process is followed for all resignations.
- Ensure that unsuccessful applicants are regretted timeously.
- **6. General Human Resource Management**_
- Support line manager in embedding a high-performance culture within teams.
- Collaborate with other HR generalists in driving implementation of all HR projects
- Develop departmental talent pool for future talent needs
- Oversee day-to-day administration
- Review and Update all job profiles
- Educate stakeholders on Bargaining Council processes and circulars
- Spearhead HR Toolbox within the assigned departments
- Provide general advisory services to stakeholders and resolve queries timeously
- Ensure Employment Equity compliance and Achieve EE targets when recruiting.
- Ensure human resource best practices in your departments.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: R30,000.00 - R35,000.00 per month
