**Procurement Officer - KwaZulu Natal - Job ID 3847**

**Position Details**:
Type: Permanent
Role and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Order raw materials or components as per production requirements or scheduled forecasts.

Create purchase orders for raw materials or components ordered.

Coordinate with shipping agencies and vendors to ensure timeously deliveries.

Coordinate internally with logistics to arrange, where necessary, transport to ensure timeously deliveries.

Assist with sourcing new vendors based on price, availability, necessity, quality, and logístical expenses.

Assist with assessing vendors and their offerings with in-person visits or interviews.

Perform daily raw material and component inventory verification in conjunction with the stores and warehousing teams.

Regularly follow up with, and confirm delivery dates, of all raw material and components purchased from approved suppliers.

**Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience**:
Relevant qualification (certificate/diploma in supply chain or purchasing). Minimum matric.
2-3 years of experience in the manufacturing industry

Understanding of MRP and ERP systems.

Good interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).

Good organizational skills.

Ability to work under pressure.

Responsible, assertive, and self-motivated.
