The Total Rewards Specialist plays an integral part in the analysis, administration and evolution of NTT’s Total Rewards philosophy, as well as related policies, processes and practices.
The main responsibility of the Total Rewards Specialist is to keep abreast of changing Compensation and Benefits trends by conducting and participating in external market research.
The Total Rewards Specialist works as an individual contributor within the broader Total Rewards team and aims to balance the Compensation and Benefits opportunities available to employees in line with NTT’s strategy, objectives, budgets and expectations.
**Key role and responsibilities**:
- Provides consultation, interpretation, and advisement to internal stakeholders such as HR Business Partners on NTT’s compensation policies, processes and practices
- Partners with internal HR team(s) to execute new hire offers and promotions, this may entail consulting on salary pay ranges and salary benchmarking
- Manages the rollout of Total Rewards projects and programmes within a region/country or at a global level
- Engages with other Total Rewards experts (may be internal or external to NTT) to define, develop and communicate new Total Rewards policies, processes and practices in line with the Total Rewards strategy
- Engages with other Total Rewards experts (may be internal or external to NTT) to evolve existing Total Rewards policies, processes and practices in line with the Total Rewards strategy
- Actively participates and supports the Annual Salary Review (ASR) process within region/country or at a global level
- Actively participates and supports the annual Bonus pay-out process within region/country or at a global level
- Audits and reviews internal compensation data to proactively resolve pay disparities, misalignment to the compensation philosophy, and internal compression
- Performs some data entry, reporting, and transaction support for the HRIS to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Assists with researching, information gathering, benchmarking, and analyzing survey data or other market intelligence to identify trends
- Gathers data, metrics, and other elements to support annual and quarterly survey submissions to maintain company’s access to market trends and time relevant data
- Assists the HR Management team with various related HR projects, as needed
- Participates in the development and execution of a broad Total Rewards strategy
- Provides back-up and/or assistance to other members of the Total Rewards team as required
**Knowledge, skills and attributes**:
- Awareness of regional/country labour legislation, regulations, and best practices
- Ability to think analytically, critically, and problem solve
- Possess the maturity to handle sensitive information confidentially
- Ability to perform independent research and summarize findings to assist with driving company decisions
- Ability to navigate, gather, and perform tasks associated with salary benchmarking
- Excellent ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation, both verbally and in written formats
- Strong organisational and project management skills essential
- Must possess strong Excel skills and can perform formulas, data processing, and formatting with little to no direction
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to function professionally in a fast-paced, and high stress/high pressure environment
**Academic qualifications and certifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources or related field
- Relevant project management certification(s) is desirable
**Required experience**:
- Demonstrated years of experience with performing analysis and benchmarking using survey data, administering compensation programs, and processing data using HR technology and/or Excel
- Demonstrated years of experience gained within a similar role, preferably within a global matrixed organisation
