**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that the correct specs and job number has been communicated by the Factory Manager prior to commencing blasting,
- Ensure the sandblast pot has enough grit before start of production and ensure settings are correct according, iii.Blast products using the correct settings, nozzle and pressure,
- Inform the General Operator once the product needs to be taken out of your blasting booth,
- Ensure that daily production targets are achieved,
- Record all required details of his/her shift on the shift sheet provided e.g. date, times, job number, grit used and dust removed and submit it to the Factory Manager at the end of every shift,
- Perform daily housekeeping tasks, e.g. sandblaster must clean his/her unit at the end of every shift as well and remove dust from the filters, and
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly maintenance on the sandblast unit
- Report quality issues that might occur during the shift to the Factory Manager,
- Rejects must be reported and moved to a designated area, and
- Maintain and clean machines before and after each shift.
- Always wear his/her protective clothing including ear plugs, gloves, mask, helmet and blast suit,
- Report the occurrence of an accident to the dedicated First Aider immediately, and
- Shut down the machine and report any other safety concerns immediately to the Factory Manager.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum Grade 12
- Tertiary Education Advantageous
- Minimum 5 years experience in similar environment
- Good Mechanical Ability
- Own Transport

**Salary**: R25,000.00 - R35,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Stellenbosch, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Any Tractor: 1 year (required)
