An exciting opportunity exists for a Financial Assistant to join the team of a natural skincare brand, in the finance department to assist the team in reaching monthly and weekly deadlines.

Opportunity to grow in Finance department and gain functional experience.

**ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Payments**:

- Receive Payment requests
- Requesting the approvals for the payment to be made from the authorised person.
- Manage online payment schedule ongoingly. - Send to FM daily COB.
- Take ownership of obtaining Supplier statements before the 3rd of each month for all suppliers.
- Loading new recipients on the online banking platform for review and approval.
- Preparing payment batches in line with company policies and standard procedures on Fridays.
- Loading and submitting payment batches on the online banking platform on Fridays before
- Providing Proof of payments to payment requesting individuals.

**Purchases (Non-stock related)**:

- Source (3 quotes) and make ad hock online purchases for: Staff welfare items; Operational items outside of stock purchases; Stationary; Sales and marketing items; Electricity.
- Following up on recon items like credit notes and supplier statements.
- Petty cash management.

**Processing**:

- Loading Purchase Orders for non-stock related items / expenses.
- Capturing non-stock related invoices in creditors on ERP and submitting journals for review.

**Finance**:

- Maintain financial policies throughout the company.
- Suggesting improvements in accuracy, efficiency, and reducing costs.

**Admin**:

- Electronic filing - Matching Goods received notes with Supplier invoices and filing electronically.
- Maintains consumables list for the office, warehousing, and manufacturing areas.
- Stationary Management.
- Office equipment and Supplies management (Printers, etc).
- Answer incoming telephone calls to office building.
- Managing Office Supplies (access control).
- Ensure all breakages are reported and replaced.
- Social committee arrangements.

**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- South African National Senior Certificate (Matric) with meeting minimum requirements for a bachelor’s degree.
- Great knowledge of Excel and Excel functions.
- Incredible attention to detail and ability to catch errors.
- Self-starter, self-motivator with great initiative.
- Great organizational skills.
- Amazing time management skills.
- Ability to follow company policies.
- Ability to work independently and on a team.
