**KEY ACCOUNTS MANAGER-SHORT TERM**

Our client in Durban has an exciting opportunity for a Key Accounts Manager - short term insurance to join their team.

**Duties**:
Create and develop a sustainable short, medium and long term business development pipeline with qualified leads.

Create and implement an existing client growth plan for personal and commercial lines.

Ensure that the Division exceeds the growth targets according to the Division’s business plan.

Assist in developing business plans aligned to Ithala’s strategic objectives.

Create mechanism to recognize and take advantage of up selling and cross selling opportunities and manage the process.

Identify new business opportunities; develop and implement a marketing and sales plans

Identify and utilize specialist skills within Ithala - build strong relationships with the Ithala Group Divisions, Corporates & public sector division.

Build strong relationships with the insurers (service providers).

Networking - Determine target market and create appropriate interventions in line with marketing plans.

Set and manage process and standards of communication.

Monitor and Report on account/s performance as per set standards to line management.

**The following minimum requirements must be met in order to be considered for this position**:
**FAIS Qualification (RE)**

Higher Certificate in Insurance or equivalent **NQF5 120 credits**

Degree/Diploma in Business Management/ Risk Management/ Marketing/ Commerce related qualification will be advantageous.

**Five (5) years’** experience in handling municipal and corporate portfolios.

Advanced Technical knowledge of Municipal & Corporate Insurance products

Strong customer acquisition, retention and relationship management experience.

Strong planning, organizational and negotiation experience.

Proven track record.

Business Acumen (understand the economic environment & identify viable financial opportunities)
