**_Our client is urgently looking to employ a Head of Development (Solar) at their organization_**

**_Location: _**:

- Observatory, Cape Town_

**_Requirements;_**
- _ Technical Qualification (BEng, BSc, )_
- _ Minimum two years of solar PV project engineering experience (preferably in the South African C&I embedded generation market)_
- _ Minimum three years of Project Engineer/Manager experience_
- _ Must be familiar with Google Workspace_
- _ Must have a good understanding of financial drivers and metrics of renewable energy systems_
- _ Team management experience_
- _ Solar PV project management experience_
- _ In-depth knowledge and understanding of South Africas renewable energy market and stakeholders_
- _ Project finance or financial modeling experience_
- _ Electrical qualification or wiremans license(beneficial)_
- _ Solar PV design experience (beneficial)_

**_ Responsibilities:_**
- _ Managing a team of project engineers_
- _ Managing renewable energy project feasibility analyses across multiple sites including:_
- â—‹ Understanding site conditions and information gathering_
- â—‹ Client requirements and objectives_
- â—‹ Business case assessments through financial and yield modeling_
- â—‹ Project permitting and technical due diligence_
- â—‹ Reporting and client engagement_
- _ Arranging and running project meetings with multiple project stakeholders, distributing agendas, and taking meeting minutes._
- _ Managing the procurement process:_
- â—‹ Development of tender documentation_
- â—‹ Liaising with EPCs/IPPs on tender requirements_
- â—‹ Tender adjudication and reporting_
- _ Ad hoc technical and commercial project analyses_
- _ Interface with the company's Construction Management and operations departments_
- _ Developing and refining the company's Procurement departments scope and tools_
