Seeking a highly competent Commercial Project Manager, with a financial / business analyst background in logistics to compliment the commercial team that will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and executing new and strategic multimodal logistics solutions within Africa.

**Location**:
Durban or Johannesburg

**The successful applicant will be responsible for but not limited to**:
**- Solution design**:

- Review strategic customer and solution specification, requirements, and commercial conditions
- Scoping, definition, and resources required to deliver solutions in planned timeframes
- Solution modelling, design, financial, risk and operational analysis
- Create a standardised approach to costing and response to commercial offers
- RFQ / RFP / tender submissions
- Project implementation / support
- Support logistics projects including expansion, optimisation, and diversification of solutions
- Market research, evaluation, and assessment of strategic projects
- Coordinating every aspect of the project from reviewing and approving contract terms to implementation of new strategic contracts, budgets, capital expenditure, variation orders, reporting of

project status, project close out and related commercialisation
- Manage project charter, progress (Incl. Key Event Schedule) and workstreams
- Achieving financial close and onboarding
- Business development
- Market scanning and research for opportunities and strategic initiatives including evaluation of opportunities with a go/no-go recommendation
- Managing project into M&A or brown / greenfield capital projects on case-by-case basis
- Input in negotiation of heads of agreement
- Negotiating legal agreements and closing out conditions
- **Administration**
- Reviewing current costing and valuation models and suggesting improvements
- Building of financial, operational, and technical models, financial evaluation, and forecasting
- Drafting of board notes, funding proposals, and supporting evidence for deal approval
- Management of fulfilment of contractual conditions
- Preparation of presentations and documents to communicate research outputs

**Qualification**:

- Relevant logistics, shipping or engineering qualification.
- B.Com Finance and or CIMA qualification

**Experience**:

- Commercial Project and or Financial management.
- 8 - 10 years logistics background.
- 3 - 5 years at managerial level.
- Proven track record of operations and people management.
- Working knowledge of health and safety and ISO quality standards.

- Strong financial acumen
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to problem solve.
- Takes ownership and expertly meet customer needs.
- Excellent network ability and deals well with pressure situations.
- Good systems and process ability.
- Meets deadlines.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple disciplinary projects.
- Computer skills and knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Office, Excel, and MS Projects.
- Able to travel locally and internationally.
