Job Summary:
As a Restaurant Shift Supervisor at TradeON, a KFC Franchisee in South Africa, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant during your assigned shifts. You will be responsible for leading the shift team, providing exceptional customer service, and upholding KFC’s high-quality standards. This position offers an opportunity for growth within our dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the shift team members, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities. Provide clear guidance and support to maximize their performance.

2. Customer Service: Maintain a customer-centric approach by ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Address customer concerns or inquiries promptly and professionally.

3. Operational Excellence: Ensure all restaurant operations run smoothly during your shift, including food preparation, cooking, cleanliness, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.

4. Training and Development: Assist in training and onboarding new team members. Provide coaching and constructive feedback to enhance team skills and performance.

5. Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels, including stock rotation and restocking supplies as needed. Assist in inventory counts and reporting.

6. Shift Scheduling: Assist in creating shift schedules, ensuring proper staffing levels to meet customer demand and operational needs.

7. Quality Assurance: Uphold KFC’s high-quality standards for food preparation, presentation, and service. Conduct quality checks to ensure consistency.

8. Cash Handling: Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly, following cash management procedures.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within the fast-food or restaurant industry is preferred.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Basic computer skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations is a plus.
