Clothing Production Manager

**Production Manager Duties & Responsibilities**
**Production Scheduling & Management**: Develop, implement, and manage production schedules, ensuring optimal use of resources, including labor, materials, and machinery. Control production within SAP and integrated mixing systems.
**Team & Resource Management**: Oversee all production department activities, including workforce management (contracts, leave, and pay), and ensure the efficient operation of teams.
**Logistics & Stock Control**: Handle logistics, warehousing, and management of raw material stock for production processes.
**Budget & Cost Analysis**: Define, propose, and implement the annual production plan. Conduct budget analysis, control production costs, and develop new product costing models. Identify and rectify waste and inefficiencies, while continually improving production efficiency, quality, and costings.
**Order Consolidation & Delivery**: Ensure works orders are consolidated into finished goods within agreed delivery periods.
**SHEQ & Compliance**: Manage and support SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) initiatives, ensuring compliance with company standards and objectives.
**Equipment & Maintenance**: Report equipment breakdowns in a timely manner and coordinate with maintenance to resolve issues. Ensure that equipment is maintained for uninterrupted production.
**WIP, Scrap & Variance Control**: Minimize WIP (Work in Progress), scrap, and variance levels to maintain efficiency and reduce waste.
**Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement**: Work closely with QA on addressing non-conformities, conduct root cause analysis of production issues, and implement corrective actions. Focus on continual improvement of quality standards and production processes.
**Textile & Fabric Expertise**: A solid understanding of têxtiles and fabrics is essential. The ability to work with various materials and identify production flaws in fabrics is critical for maintaining high-quality standards.
**Data & Reporting**: Accurately collect, analyze, and report on production data to monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
**Business Growth**: Identify opportunities to grow the business and revenue by implementing necessary changes to product lines or production processes to enter new markets or expand existing ones.
This role requires a proactive leader with a keen eye for detail, particularly in têxtiles and fabrics, to ensure efficiency, quality, and business growth in all aspects of production.

**Detail-Oriented & Analytical**: High attention to detail with excellent analytical capabilities, enabling precise data collection and thorough problem analysis.
**Customer-Focused Approach**: Always keeping the end-user in mind to ensure that production aligns with customer needs and expectations, contributing to product quality and satisfaction.

**Desired Experience & Qualifications**
**Educational Background**: Degree or Diploma in Production Management, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related leadership field.
**Industry Experience**: Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a Production Manager or similar leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
**Manufacturing Expertise**: Extensive experience in production planning, quality control, interpreting production data and metrics, and implementing lean manufacturing practices to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
**Team Leadership**: Proven track record in managing and developing teams, ensuring effective resource allocation, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
**Health, Safety, and Environmental Knowledge**: Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations to ensure compliance and promote a safe working environment.
