If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you We are seeking a dynamic and capable Operations Projects Manager to join our team in the scenic town of Franschhoek, South Africa.

**Role Overview**:
As the Operations Projects Manager at Franschhoek Wine Tram, our logistics business catering to the tourism industry, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless transportation of people, and services in the heart of the Western Cape's wine country. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing road and rail transport operations, numerous projects, managing a diverse team ranging from maintenance staff, mechanics, drivers and many others.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Fleet Management**: Take charge of our fleet of vehicles and trams, ensuring they are well-maintained, compliant with regulations, and deployed efficiently.
- **Project Management**:Implement, caretake and manage various projects both internally and externally to the business.
- **Personnel Management**: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team that encompasses maintenance staff, drivers, and other operational personnel.
- **Logistics Optimization**: Continuously improve operational processes, find cost-effective solutions, and ensure the smooth flow of goods and services.
- **Compliance**: Ensure that all operations adhere to legal, safety, and industry regulations. (RSR, OHSACT, BCEA, ect..)
- **Disciplinary Procedures**: Implement and oversee disciplinary procedures to ensure the compliance and professional conduct of staff.
- **Inventory Control**: Oversee inventory management and stock control to maintain optimal supply levels.
- **Vendor and Supplier Relations**: Manage relationships with third-party service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service quality.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- A BTech or diploma in Operations Management, Project Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in fleet management, ideally in the road and rail transport sectors.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of successfully leading teams.
- History of managing various projects.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capability to optimize logistics operations.
- Knowledge of safety, compliance, and industry regulations.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- A commitment to exceptional customer service and a passion for the tourism industry.
- Proficiency in logistics management software and tools.
