**Job Description**:
Position Purpose

This role is responsible for providing finance support to the Strategic Finance (IMETA) and Supply Chain Finance (IMET) teams. It includes providing analysis and insight on key areas to drive growth, increase profitability and efficiency, as well as broader financial support.

Key Accountabilities
- MENA Supply Chain Finance support for Month-end reporting. Drive the Supply Chain month end financial closing process with teams in South Africa & MENA Supply Chain. Drive improvements in accuracy on Supply Chain related cost, timeliness, and controls in the Supply Chain financial reporting area.
- MENA Supply Chain Finance support in the completion of the annual budget and forecasting process driving adherence to timelines & forecasting accuracy.
- Business partner with Supply Chain by advising on Supply Chain efficiencies, working on operational improvement projects, and providing detailed monthly KPI based performance reports for operations and logistics. Finance support to S&OE and S&OP process. Perform Adhoc analysis on IMET plant and logistic costs when required.
- Developing best practice by liaising with the wider Finance communities across CHEP and integrating with other individuals across the IMETA Finance function, to knowledge share and optimise ways of working
- Streamlining and automating reporting and reporting processes to enable in-depth analysis of the monthly financial results to identify and resolve core issues to support in achieving targets
- Finance support for Strategic Finance IMETA to support on the evaluation of business proposals. Understand customer operations, supply chains and business requirements to produce appropriate finance models
- Perform sensitivity analysis to help management drive sound commercial decisions.ie. New Market Entry Projects.
- Creation & management of standardized trackers in the Strategic finance space including Timber inflation, GDP and other key macro-economics
- Support on key projects in the Strategic Finance area involving gathering of data and analysis with insights to be shared. Currently involving Competitor Analysis, Cashflow improvement, Forecast accuracy, Forestry and Milling and Project Yalla
- Business finance support for MENA, Turkey, India and SSA to fill in during periods of vacancy and/or high priority projects
- Provide support on Adhoc projects and analysis for IMETA.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s in Commerce, Completed Articles or Studying towards CIMA Qualification
- 2-3 years Business/operational Experience
