Parow, South Africa CTP Printers CT Full time

CTP Printers, a dynamic leader in the printing sector is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Assistant-Printing. The position will report to the Print Manager and will be based in Parow, Cape Town.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assist with pre-make ready operations and load reels and sheets-pre-printing
- Assist with performing make-ready operations (including stacking of paper)
- Wash blankets, rollers, cleaning components and clean out old ink in ink ducts and replace with new ink (house-keeping duties)
- Monitor and fill up ink levels on the press
- Monitor and fill up press chemistry
- Assist with performing preventative and routine maintenance operations
- Check quality of paper going into the machine
- Change quality of stacks coming out machine
- Weigh printed stacks to verify paper quantity
- Adhere to health and safety regulations
- Attend training programmes identified for the position
- Ad-hoc duties assigned by the Printing Manager

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working within a sheetfed/printing environment
- Grade 12 (Matric) certificate is advantageous
- Experience working on sheetfed machinery is advantageous (i.e Heidelberg)
- Good verbal and written communication skills (in English is required)
- Good problem-solving skills
- Positive Attitude and physically fit
- Safety-conscious
- Must be able to follow procedures accurately

**Type**

Permanent with 6 months’ probation

**Standard Hours**

Will be required to work rotational shifts (day, night and weekend)

**Salary**

A market related wage is offered based on experience and skills set
