- **Little help to understand the difference between Sales and Business Development**:_

Direct Sales: Sell directly to another company, repeat a similar cycle. This usually requires building an internal sales team and hiring more people.

Business Development: Build strategic partnerships to reach other companies' audiences. Partner with other companies to add value to your customers.

**Requirements**:

- BCom **or **undergraduate degree **or** 1 year experience in Business Development.
- Advanced level of Excel proficiency (key requirement).
- Self-starter who takes initiative and is able to manage own time to achieve goals and deadlines.
- **Excellent level of comfort in financial and numerical analysis.**:

- Ability to work in a team - proven cross-functionality skills.

Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to)
- Assist sales team and business heads in South Africa, Ghana and Kenya.
- Generating leads with the aim of facilitating meetings to achieve growth in sales.
- Maintain accuracy and effectively manage the CRM system.
- Generating daily activity reports for work completed each day.
- Act as a first point of contact for assistance to affiliates with regards to the companies Media collateral.
- Assist in data clean-up and facilitation for pre-existing data to imported into the new CRM system
- Search for new potential clients for the various business units/lead generation through various platforms
- Set up meetings for the sales team.
- Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales options.
- Negotiate with companies, executive-level employees and understanding companies purchasing cycles.
- Understand and navigate the decision-making processes of the client, and successfully close agreements and big deals to maximum profit.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships with key decision-makers such as (CTO, Network Directors, Network procurement, etc ) by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements.
- Meet contact expectations as set for your account base.
- Achieving set targets KPIs
- Have a desire to professionally and personally develop.
- Assist with Ad-hoc requests
- Observing best business practices and etiquette

**Skills**:

- Must have strong computer skills - Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint experience is vital.
- Proactive approach problem solving and the ability to multitask
- Works well under pressure and within deadlines - level headed and able to prioritise tasks
- Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Impeccable time management and organizational skills
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
- Capacity to quickly learn new concepts, technologies, skills, and the ability to multi-task.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Internship
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: R6,000.00 - R8,000.00 per month
